Wesley Chapel Pain Management is the interventional pain team at Wesley Chapel Spine & Sports Medicine. We find the true source of your pain and treat it with precise, in-office care — so surgery stays the last resort, not the first.
Who we are
Too many people with back, neck and joint pain are told to rest, take pills, or wait for surgery. We take a different path. Our interventional pain physician pinpoints exactly where your pain is coming from — a disc, a joint, a nerve — and treats it directly with image-guided procedures done right here in our office.
Because we’re part of Wesley Chapel Spine & Sports Medicine, your care doesn’t stop at one procedure. Physical therapy, chiropractic care and in-office diagnostics are under the same roof, so your plan keeps moving without referrals, waiting lists or running between offices.

Our approach
An exam plus in-office X-ray, ultrasound and nerve testing when needed — so treatment is aimed at the real cause.
Targeted injections, nerve blocks and therapy come first. Surgery is only discussed when it truly makes sense.
Pain management, physical therapy and chiropractic care work together on your recovery.
Same-week appointments and evening hours until 7 PM, so you don't have to miss work to get care.

Meet your physician
Dr. Abbas earned his medical degree from Damascus University Faculty of Medicine and completed a residency in diagnostic radiology before moving to the United States in 2011. At the University of New Mexico, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in cancer and neuroscience, completed a neuro-critical care fellowship in the Department of Neurosurgery, and finished his neurology residency in 2021.
He then completed a fellowship in interventional pain medicine through UNM’s anesthesia program before joining Wesley Chapel Spine & Sports Medicine as its interventional pain physician. His training across imaging, neurology and pain medicine gives him a strong foundation for diagnosing and treating spine, nerve and joint pain.
